    Seal culling calibre

    Is there a minimum calibre for seal culling in the UK?

    If you wish to add to the cull, there is a cheeky bugger in Port Gavan that has been taking mackerel of my line for some years now.

    It's a bit of a grey area, and people harbour some common misconceptions, but I don't want to harp on about it. I gather they can be a blubber to kill though.

    I will find out for sure, but I seem to remember that 270 & 308 were the most commonly used. North Highland College put the Professional Development Award for Seal Culling.
    The shooting assessment is for the shooter to put 3 rounds in a 4" circle at 50 & 100m.

    I think that's the American name - they're referred to as SBS over here? (aka the wobblies)
