Good idea methinks, and an intriguing sales ploy.

I've no idea what this product is, but if it's a Tikka product this is a perjorative term the PR boys really should reconsider.

I've seen several problems with T3's of late. The cause may have been operator error in reloading personally (or in one case relying on the work of a 3rd party) but the outer plastic parts blow off as shrapnel (backwards and downwards) when catastrophe occurs.

These occurrences can happen with any make of rifle, but all the actions are vented now (as was the Mauser 1898) so your limbs are safe. Eyesight isn't so repairable, and the cost saving production methods make collateral injury to the parts you rely on more likely.

Where is Brithunter these days? He would be pointing this sort of thing out...... I'm just a poor substitute.
If I'm going to be accused of it then it's just as well I did it.

Sinistral you should have had a wee search first on the product before replying. Brilliant, this sight cracks me up sometimes...

Do you mean in the direction I think you mean? If you were standing?

Just a little dig at poor marketing here ..... it's more fun appearing obtuse.

No. Your vital parts are safe from harm .... if I've got your meaning.

The bits fly in both directions. Back into your face (the bolt shroud) and down (in the case of the magazine which splits at the halfway joint). Quite spectacular.

    Ok Ok.

Its a rubber thing that goes on your stock that gives it extra length for those that need it. And being rubber, stops you getting f****d if you don't like a big bang......

    It didn't need it BTW!!
