    Blaser R93 rebarreling

To all owners of Blaser r93's we are pleased to announce that we can now re-barrel your existing R93 barrel . We will have an example on the stand at the British Shooting Show. So If you have a shot out 308 and you have had a hankering for a 6.5x47 then we can do that for you. yours respectfully Mike Norris Brock and Norris Custom Rifles

You said rebarrel, are re-lining high pressure barrels?

    Now that is downright interesting.

Cut the old barrel off in front of the chamber, ream out and thread the old barrel stub, thread and fit a new tube?

    Ain't going to be cheap.....

Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get you......

what's so special about blaser barrels that a competent smith like B&N couldn't make up a replacement from a new blank?
    Right where's those stones , I'll start !

Think it would be as cheap just to buy a blaser barrel

The point being, I think, that you can now buy barrels in calibers that Blaser doesn't actually offer

If the price is right I would be interested, although there have apparently been issues with this being done in New Zealand.

I wonder if Blaser would then not stand by any problems which may occur.

Just like re-sleeving a shot gun barrel, and the same way barrels can be produced for Thompson single shots.
It is also the way barrels are assembled on Baikal single shot rifles and shotguns, although I assume B & Norris are well capable
of keeping the barrel true to the scope mounts, something Baikal are not so good at. Lol

Bingo!!! Of course Blaser will not warranty them. Miht not even warranty the bolt if they discover it has been used with a non-Blaser barrel.
