SWMBO's Transit connect has been getting a little lazy starting of late, Ordered a replacement battery online & it duly arrived Thusrday prompt next day service.
On stripping the old tired battery out, A bright blue & silver FORD sticker on the top at the rear, could this be that old for a factory sticker to be on it?

My mum a research scientist with Ferodo visited a well respected British manufacturer in the 1970s who were spending a large amount of money to develop a battery that would last its guarantee then quickly fail. 2 years was considered a good battery then.

I got 15 1/2 years on a 2002 Volvo V70 battery. I was so impressed, that I got the replacement from Volvo, only cost £3.00 more than the equivalent from the online outlets. Car is still going strong. Problem is, when I went for the battery they had a very nice low milage Freelander 2 Metropolis on their forecourt at a reasonable price, it's now my wife's daily driver

The New T7 Transporter engine now has a wet belt and I believe is made by Ford

mine did 5 years but since i fitted a new one the stupid stop start is not working anymore so thats a bonus!

although my egr and cooler needs replacing and it's a pig on the 204bhp 4motion apparently

I'd like a 4 motion, with a small lift, decent tyres, single front seats, no bulkhead and a large sunroof in the back.... be handy for shooting foxes from

i'll let you know when i sell it , probably next year as i'm thinking of going into an SQ7 diesel

it's on air ride as well so you can jack it up for off roading or slam it for kerb crawling (or to get in carparks)

Thats exactly what I’ve got with twin electric side doors to shoot out of Absolutely love it.
