As the weather was nice with no rain..ventured of to my permission..with in 10 mins of getting and scanning..this dog fox was in the fields with the cows that have just gone into this field.
It appeared to be mousing about and was fully intent on and ignoring my 4x4 perhaps feeling safe as the cows were nearby.
I was in the adjacent field that’s been cut and only a fence between us.
I managed to get around 45-50 yds to him manoeuvring in finding a safe shooting position and was taken humanely.
I moved into this field and set up caller to various calls and had nothing for about 2.5 hours.
I thought I saw a heat signal comming into my kill zone ..but nothing showed up..suddenly from behind this vixen came storming down towards the caller which was on chicken call,you can see in her hurry nearly trips over then stops and can clearly see her ears twitching trying to locate the source of the chicken sounds!
She was neatly accounted for @ 63 yds.
