New rifle, in new calibre arrived, new scope arrived.
Been waiting a while for these, so had plenty of time to get all ammo components in.
Rifle is 6.5 PRC with 22inch barrel.
Lapua brass
Fed 215M primers
Nosler 120g B/T loaded with 20 thou jump
N560

I decided to use the initial barrel break in to help work out what max load was with N560. Loaded 10 rounds in .5 grain increments up to book max.
Unusually book max was right at the point of pressure signs showing.

After a further thorough clean I decided on my next load being 1.5g under pressure signs. These 10 rounds would be for zeroing.

After bore sighting, five shots and I was zeroed.

Fresh target. Next 5 shots grouped at .511 inch ! Good enough for hunting, but will tweak seating depth to see if I can tighten the group a tad.

Very nice.
Just out of interest, what sort of rifle is it and does it have a standard barrel?

Nice, but the group will open up when that big fallow steps out...and the dry mouth starts..
