2025 -2026 pick ups

Friend of ours has just took delivery of a brand new Isuzu pickup truck it’s had all the rear seats taken out that’s how he’s bought is it true that all pickup truck purchased after April 2025 qualify for the massive tax hike on VLD to £5,690 I was under the impression that a pickup is classified as light commercial vehicle

Yes, that’s correct the only ones that are any good anymore are actual single cab pickups (2 or 3 seats) dual cab and king cabs the tax has all changed and you’ll be up for BIK etc etc.

Totally ridiculous obviously…not sure why the government believe it’s their business to tell some e how to run their own business and what vehicle is appropriate but there we are.
