22-250, goldilocks twist rate

OK, so I'm wondering what the ideal twist rate would be in a 22-250 to be able to stabalise bullets from 50gn to 70gn??
As I'll be wanting a tikka, because it's what I've always had, they come as standard with 1:14 but also have found a tikka 22-250 that comes with a 1:8 twist rate.
Barrel will be 24"

So to be able to stabilise well and shoot very accurately, is a 1:8 too fast? The 1:14, I guess is too slow for anything north of 55gn or anything too long?

So maybe I need to go semi custom route, tikka action, and get a 1:10 twist rate?

After your experiences, knowledge and words of wisdom please 😊

You might be on to something there. A 10 twist should stabilise lead cored 70 gr bullets.
Tikka built a batch of 10 twist 22/250’s a few years ago for the US market.

I've seen tikka t3x rifles available here in 1:14 twist but also their website states they do the T3x Super Varmint with a 24" Barrel with a 1:8 twist. My "worry" is it may be too fast if I decide to shoot 50/55gn. Anything else would have to be a semi custom build on a T3 action. If I have to go down the semi custom route to get what I want, then I may as well scrap it and get a 22 Creedmoor built. I went for the 22-250 over the 22CM thinking it would be easier, (thus, cheaper), to get off the shelf rifle and brass etc. In reality though, it's not as simple as I first thought.

Just built this 22” 22-250 1:8” on a tikka 595, for a customer, no worries about twist being too fast. Done .22 CM’s in 1:7 and reports on performance are very positive

I have an 8 twist 22-250 built on a Sako 75 action by Neil McKillop, shoots everything from 53gr to 77gr without any issues and I have previously had a 7.5 twist one that was the same.
