Be very very very careful about buying second hand vermin calibre rifles….

I just wouldn’t.

I love my 22-250 1-8 twist.

it started with a 26 inch pipe , it’s now 22 and can achieve just about the same velocities with the right powder

Had both ,they are equally tremendous calibres ,depend what will be your main use

What powders are you finding best in short tube currently using rl15 and have bought some rs 52 to try when I run out

Tikka t3x stainless varmint 22-250, 20" barrel factory norma 55gr tipstrike, avg just over 3450fps, brilliant foxing rifle, I threw an alpex 4k and a nice mcmillan stock i got off here on it, don't think I'd change anything about it

T3x varmint 20inch barrel 22250. 50grain vmax or hornady 55grain soft point both shoot to the same hole. Using viht n140. Vmax going about 3600fps.

I have a 204 and have a slot for 22-250 but I have never needed to fill the slot yet, I will one day but I will never get rid of my 204, Lovely gun to shoot

I tried RS60 also fantastic , but a known barrel burner , so I left it alone and went with RS52
Very accurate, great speed and not a barrel muncher

Had both - still got .204 - Miss 22.250 but for me 204 just edges it on the no recoil at all - less noise side of things

I’ve got a fair bit of 60 I use in 06 and 243 but didn’t like how much I needed in the 250 case and with price of powder the longer the tubs last the better

25.8 gr N133 and 39gr blitzkings in 204 will shoot anything a 22-250 will, quieter and with less recoil,plus theres no market for a 2nd hand 22-250 forsome reason!

Absolutely, if it an all-rounder you require .22-250 all day, or perhaps the venerable .220 swift, but ammo for the 250 will be much easier to find if you don't intend to reload.

The 22-250 will send a heavier bullet at 204 speeds but with a lot more retained energy down range and less wind drift. Zero one inch high at 100yds and you’re good for point and shoot out to 250yds.
