Wanted: .223 on a budget

Hi All,
Received my variation back and I’m now on the look out

I’m looking for a .223, budget is £300. ideally with a mod. (I know, it could be a challenge) - can go higher if a scope is included but no issue if it’s the bare gun.

Nothing fancy needed, just a good tool and not single shot.

Anyone have anything in the back of the cabinet?

I’m based in Northampton can travel a bit or meet

I know it’s above your stated budget, but got a good condition browning a-bolt, a-tec mod and Hawke scope. £595 for the whole package including postage to your local RFD.

Savage with scope and mod on there which appears to be a two hour drive away, as its a private sale, you may be able to try before you buy which is always a bonus, haggle them down a bit (currently £250) or get them to meet you half way

Savage, RWS 89 or Ruger M77's advertised on guntrader would be good. You should be able to pick up a used moderator for very little from a good RFD.

I have a .223 REM Marlin X7 and Sonic moderator that I could sell for £350. Decent gun but I have too many. My pal bought it new and didn’t like rifle shooting, low round count.

This is the rifle, with cloth tape on the moderator as I had used it with a lamp.
