I’ve found it a cracking round for Muntjac and Chinese Water Deer and have been able to shoot pinpoint accurate HILAR shots at sensible distances with Norma v max 50 grain.

You're lucky DB, I think MJ all goes into dog food with our dealer. Not that I'm bothered, all MJ goes into the freezer with me, the dogs get a lot of what would normally go into mince.

I have a freezer full of muntjac at the moment - as for dog food, mine appears in the kitchen as soon as he hears the knife on the steel

Norma tipstrike small game and Norma tipstrike varmint I think are very similar - used it on foxes and munties to good effect

Thank you for pointing that out. I’m sure there are other rounds available but 223 is a great calibre for muntjac all the same
