buy a new zeiss duralyt illuminated 3-12x50 ideal for stalking and lamping, you can get a new one for £850

Blimey mate with a budget of that amount you can take your pick of many scopes out there!! I'd be getting a meopta 7x50 for around 200 quid and a 2nd hand nv setup!!

PS
Welcome to the forum!

Theres a Deben nightech for £275 in the classifieds....4-16x56, illuminated mil dot ret.
I have one on my .243 and Id have another in a flash, these are as rare as hens teeth and made, I believe, by the old Japan optics so excellent performance.
Spend the difference on stalking!

If you've got a budget of up to £900 you'd b better looking about on here or even MacLeods at tain and picking up a good second hand Swarovski zeiss or s&b. something in the range of a 3-12 or 4-16 with a 50 or 56 objective lense but for that type of money you'll get something decent. I got a Swaro z6 2.5-15 and a Swaro av 6-18 both within that budget in mint condition second hand just take ur time and dont jump in

Agree, either zeiss or swaro, dont know much abou s&b

you dont say what kind of stalking woodland, hill, highseat? most important I would say
IR on Non-IR
fixed or variable?

I personally prefer fixed mag for lamping as it makes it simpler in the dark

£900 gets you a lot of scope for the money, especially 2nd hand

someone on here was selling a smidt zenith 3-12x50 for a good price. would be a good option and bottom of your price range.

secondhand ziess victory diavari 2.5-10x50 illuminated job done i own one and they really are a very versitle scope with fantastic optics including low light performanceive looked through the duralytes and i know they have a big following but to be honest i think for the money i would pick a meopta every time
