.270 Copper

Best copper I found for 270 was 130 grain classic fox. Home loaded to their data and very accurate. Not on reds but fallow including large bodied bucks. Barnes worked but a lot of meat damage. Went back to lead, I would choose fox if I had to shoot copper.

Another one for the 120grn sako powerhead blade here. It’s very accurate and has killed everything I’ve hit with it so far

129gr Barnes lrx works well at all distances, I'd be hard pushed to change to anything else

What powder are you going to be using? I used to run 54gr of n160 @2850fps. Changed to 60gr of n560 and now getting 3160fps (that's very close to max load and almost a compressed load so work your way up). The faster the better

I am planning on using RS62, it works very well with Sierra Gamechanger 140gr. So we shall see.

Barnes 129grn lrx, I find it the best copper bullet on the market, I use the 139 in my 7mm rem mag ( I tested a few once copper hit the market and this lrx bullet it’s as good as it gets in my humble opinion)

Yes I have used both of these with great results from both bullets. As always drive copper fast and they do perform very well even at longer distance. I predominantly used 270WSM with the 129 & 7mm RM with the 139. Simply as good as any lead bullet. Several thousand deer to these particular bullets, no complaints here.

So I only had a few .270 fox left called up the shop yesterday PM and today they turned up all the way from from Edinburgh to Southend on sea ! thats less than 24hrs door to door
NOW ! Thats service.

Factory - Federal 130g Trophy Copper (Meateater Ed)

Federal have been previously reliable through Sako / Benelli and Tikka, but these were inconsistent and unable to achieve a satisfactory grouping.
