.30 mod okay to use on a .204

Ive got a Neilson Sonic45 mod on my .308 HOWA and was wondering if it will do its job on a smaller caliber? , I intend buying a .204Ruger soon and dont want to buy another mod for no good reason.

As far as I know the only difference with this model mod is the hole diameter so I was think that the difference in noise reduction would be minimal ?, not enough to warrant spending another £250 on a separate mod ?

I use a.30 cal mod on my .243

I use my 30 cal mod on my .223 , in fact I only have one full ore moderator used on three different guns. Two .308 and one .223 , all I was advised to do from my FEO was to write a covering letter to the licensing dept to explain I was using the one mod on all the rifles.

So it seems the conclusion is my .308 mod will be fine for a .204 so that will save me around £250 when I buy a .204 , I just need to make sure I get the same thread on the new .204 , Cheers All.

It will be fine, my .30 PES on my .243 works as well if not better than my mates dedicated mod on his.
