308 and Hornady 150 gr.

Is anyone using Hornady 150 grain round nose Interlock bullets in their 308?
Interested in seating depth.
Up to now I’ve seated them to the crimp cannelure but not happy with groups.
I’ve tried N135 and CFE223.
Wondered about seating depth before looking elsewhere.

I usually just measured COL which was 2.8” Used N140 on 150gn SST and interlock.

Saw on another thread factory ammo is 2.75”. 69.7mm

Yes, 2.8 leaves very little bullet seated in the neck.
2.75 only has 120 thou in the neck.
I’ve seat some of mine a bit deeper and will try them Thursday.

Ps. I think CFE223 is going to prove more accurate in my rifle.

I have used 150 interlocks in my 308 many years ago now Ken but don't have the data. I do remember using the crimp groove and h4895. My Remington back then shot very tiny groups but only after I found out the bolt handle was touching the stock! Once that was relieved it shot amazing.

I hope I can get it to shoot well using the cannelure but not essential.
Can’t afford to squander my meagre amount of
H4895.

I don’t have chrono readings.
I think I intend getting a reasonable group before checking velocity.
