31 degrees forecast for CLA tomorrow

If not in competition, why would anyone drag a dog around a show.

I guess you have never been to the CLA. I went last year on the Friday, similar temperature and there were plenty of uncomfortable dogs with their owners. Dogs and game shows go together but not when it is humid and 31 degrees.

Well we were planning on attending today with the dogs, but as the weather is predicted to be so hot we are not going. It would be unfair on the dogs to leave them at home as we have no one to look after them, however it would be even worse travelling with them in a Lintran box for 3 hours in this heat.

I will spend the day in the garden drinking the odd cold beer, and pottering around my workshop getting ready for next weekends clients.

Have a good one everybody, enjoy it, but be sensible with this heat, and DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOGS IN THE CAR.

It will be just as uncomfortable for the traders. Nobody buys in that heat people are like walking zombies. I have been helping my father out on his stand for the last 10 years and last year the friday was a disaster. Got to admit i am missing not being there this year first one i have missed in a long while.

Hit the nail well and truly on the head with that post Jason!

Sorry chaps got to disagree it was a scorcher but spent a fortune :scared:
Still heard reports that muppets were leaving dogs in cars and having them
broken into by officials or police to release them :cuckoo:
They should be fined heavily before they get them back utter stupidity IMHO
regards pete

Hot today Friday - Got there at 08:00 and out at 12:30 - I had had enough. Some traders moaning because their card machines wouldnt work. Unsurprisingly the cash machine checked mine and charged me £2.50.

Some dogs had cool coats on - some had obviously had a swim in the provided pool - some looked as uncomfortable as me but atleast I sweat!

Moaning apart I did enjoy it but will stay away next year to make it more enjoyable.

I made the same decision based on either the thunderstorms turning it into a quagmire or the temperatures making it unsuitable for dogs. I went to the last one at Blenheim and there were plenty of watering stations for dogs but 31C is too much. Took mine to the river instead and she probably enjoyed it more plus it saved me a 350 mile round trip and entrance fees and spending too much money on stuff I don't really need.:D

Good atmosphere today dispute the heat. Too many uncomfortable dogs (and people), but hand it to CLA as they repeated on tannoy that anyone worried about their dog/s should call a number so organisers could assist and rescue!!!!

Still find it ridiculous why anyone would put their dog/s through it.

If anyone is going tomorrow, check out the Beretta stand. Best place for bargains.
