For years, I've used 39grn Blitzking homeloads or 40grn Hornady factory loads. I have a few boxes of Hornady 32-grain factory ammo. Are any 204 owners using 32-grain ammo? If so, what are your thoughts?

I used some factory 32gr ammo many years ago. What I can remember it was fine, only for rabbits upto 200yds or so.
Point & shoot stuff, nothing too taxing.

32 grains is as much as you'll ever need for Charlie if you can shoot straight and hit them where you need to ;) My Howa loves them and I use nothing else for foxes out to the sort of ranges that I'm not going to even talk about here
For years it was 32grain Superformance, but now that I have managed to develop a load that matches the Hornady in velocity, accuracy, and consistancy I just use my 'home rolled' and cannot fault the results.
Zero at 100 yds means a whole 2 mil-dots of elevation at 500yds :) Learn the bits in-between and watch them fall over !

Yep, 32g Nosler Varma on top of CFE223 doing 3850fps. Mustard! The 32g factory Hornady are going 50fps slower through my T3 with a 19” barrel. Both very accurate 👍

I have a .204 Tikka T3 Lite.
I have tried 39s and 40s but, have settled on the 32s below.
I home load with 3 different bullets, all 32grn.
Hornady 32s, loaded with Exterminator for foxes, out to 300m+, weather dependant.
Nosler 32grn hollow points loaded with Exterminator for rabbits and foxes, just not to the distances of the hornady.
Nosler 32grn Balistic tips, loaded with Viht N135 the most accurate at distance, though more expensive than the others.

Just thinking 🤔. I've a 20vartarg and had been told to use 39blitzking. Would that be to get the best possible performance out the little 221fireball case????

I use the 39gn SBK in my .20Prac with now Reloder10x and have no complaints … used to use Vhit n133 but that gave me a real headache with acidic moisture marking the next round’s bullet with verdigris after firing a round.

Shame that 10x is no longer available so I think I’ll go Ramshot Tac or Exterminator when I run out.

Cheers

I'd suggest anything but Ramshot fella. I spent an age developing a lovely round for my .270 with Ramshot Hunter. Now I want to top up on it. Can I find any .... anywhere ? (within even logical driving distance)
Can I hell.

Joined this a bit late but all I use is 32’s and my Tikka T3 loves them, I did have some 39’s to use up and there was very little difference between the 2 regarding POI without zeroing, I went over to 32s because at the time they were easier to get in numbers, I also use N135 behind mine no problems at all
