Faster....

I'm really tempted to get a 3D printer having followed your progress on this. There are so many handy things you can make if you have one
- The 3d model files will be available a few days after that for those wishing to try printing their own.

Yes, slightly smaller diameter (garden canes are 16mm OD. I was thinking 14mm tubes (Could probably easily go with 12mm tubes). I might try carbon filled material for the 3d printed rod ends also.The carbon tube version sounds interesting. How does it differ? Pole diameter I guess?
Yep that's what it says on the tin - I don't have brass nozzle in my printer.carbon filled filament will destroy a brass print nozzle very quickly, there are special nozzles for that material.
