Further to a previous thread in rifles and calibres I've gone for the 6.5 x 55, just awaiting variation. I'm looking at the Sauer 101 GTI which seem to be like rocking horse crap in this country, failing that the 101 XT. Is there anyone on here reloading for either model in the above calibre and what's your recipe.

Kev im loading for a friends sauer Classic 101. in 6.5x55. I`ve also used the same load in a Sauer 202 6.5x55 both gave very good results with 48.50g of Vihtavuori N560 Lapua brass, CCI primers and 120g Sierra spritzers. OAL 2.400
I use exactly the same load in a Blaser R8 but with the OAL of the round slightly longer and again produces very tight groups.

Salvo, it may be worth bearing in mind that one recipe for a particular Sauer may not suit your Sauer - same as one particular make of Tikka or Sako. They can only be regarded as guides.

I reload for 3 Tikka T3 's and although the recipes are similar (N160 and 120 Sierra PH), if I were to use the exact same recipe in the 3 rifles, the difference would be from .5" to 1.5"

Or RL17/Elcho17/RS60 43.5 grains behind 140gr SST
