Barrel life is pretty appalling on prc cartridges so perhaps it has that advantage?Would it not be more straightforward to get a 7mm PRC?
I think a necked up 6.5 prc would be ace and I’ve have been tempted to make one if I could get the dies ectThe 7 PRC is bigger and burns more powder so yes in theory there should be longer barrel life to be had, they are also supposed to be easy to load for and accurate.
I will use the 6.5 PRC dies with the correct neck bushing.I think a necked up 6.5 prc would be ace and I’ve have been tempted to make one if I could get the dies ect
Will do, just trying to source a reamer.Let me Know how it goes I’m interested
If you get a reamer can’t you just use it to cut out the body die too? Will do, just trying to source a reamer.
Masons will cut you one I’d have thoughtWill do, just trying to source a reamer.
Not 100% but pretty sure you are going to need some clearance when resizingIf you get a reamer can’t you just use it to cut out the body die too?
I did see that, an employee of Eric Cortina mentioned it. That would be fairly interesting too but not sure there is enough powder behind the heavier bulletsThere was a 6.5CM necked up to 7mm called a 7mm Claymoor.
Grant Taylor made spuds 7-6.5prcWill do, just trying to source a reamer.
It seemed to do alright at 1000 yards!I did see that, an employee of Eric Cortina mentioned it. That would be fairly interesting too but not sure there is enough powder behind the heavier bullets
Good to know, thank you.Grant Taylor made spuds 7-6.5prc
Or 7prcw as it’s called
True, I am wanting to go a bit further than that and a bit more speed helps. It seemed to do alright at 1000 yards!
