7.62 x 39 any good ?

Been offered a cheap plinker in 7.62x39.
I dont have any experience with calibre and wondering what folks think of it ?.
Was thinking of just fun range work rather than hunting.
Also heard it can be loaded subsonic ? Anyone have any experience with this?

I’ve got one
It’s a CZ in this caliber great little fun gun and round and can definitely be loaded subsonic with the right heads and powder

I have the CZ carbine and home load as well as using Privi FMJ. It is great as a fun gun as well as for range work

Great woodland rifles, I’ve got the little CZ in 7.62x39 shooting 125gr soft points.
