7mm X 64mm loads using Hodgdon H4350

Hi HEYM SR20,
No the match kings aren't a hunting bullet, certificate waiting for expanding ammo,so using the waiting time to test different bullet weights.
The Sierra's in expanding are very similar to the match kings so hoping the loads I try now will convert to expanding bullets and be some where near the same accuracy.
The 177gr bullets were PPU and they didn't seem very uniform and also were a smaller diameter than expected.
They gave a very loose fit when seating compared to the tight fitting Sierra's but I suppose the price reflects this.

Thanks Southern, really like the load and glad to know it's got a good velocity.
Going to try different powders with this bullet, the next is Reload Swiss RS62.
Being a Europeon powder they have loads for the 7x64.

Measure your bore and bullets, because US 7mm bore standard is .277 bore and .284 grooves. Many European metric rifles are .285 groove.

The 7x64 can get 2,900+ FPS with 150-gr safely, from a 24-inch barrel. Sierra 150-gr is a great 7mm bullet and not expensive. So is the Speer 145-gr BTSP. So I have never yet spent the money and effort to try the 150-gr Accubond, which gets high marks ( for twice the price ).

RS62 is supposed to be about like Hodgdon 4831sc. If so, it should be excellent for the 160-gr and 175-gr bullets. The Sierra 160-gr BTHP and BTSP shoot to the same point of impact for my 7x64 and .280 Rem loaded with the same recipe for each bullet. The HP is a tougher bullet than the SP. The Speer Grand Slam is tougher, yet, but not the high BC of the Sierra or Hornady 162-gr SST.
