I rolled a fallow fawn, picked out of seven in total in the scrub up behind the fire, circa 5-600 yards, used the PH 9.3 x 64.

Took pics of a stag in his bed early AM on the opp face at 125 Yards. Left him alone and continued to climb and ran into three fallow up high in the dry.

I climbed high above the fallow above that were at the 3/4 height mark and took pics of roos on a far opp face ranged at 1008 yards. I had crossed through this spot the previous evening for a wander. The little clear in the last pic is it..big country.
Mate missed two sambr, checked his 300 and it was shooting 4 inches right and high for whatever reason.
Son shot a young hind and a rough stag.

Saw a beautiful red fallow and then a sambar stag "of sorts" wander down in absolute last light,I simply couldn't see him properly to ID him or even really get a sight on him. He was just a stag shape in the bush.Waiting fora fair while I snapped a few skyline roos on a side spur. I was hoping a deer would stroll out to no avail.
I arrived back at the rebuilt fire and sucked the froff off a few cans and then a few Coopers green Pale Ales.
Marinated chicken wings
chilli cheese kranskys followed mmmm.

I love it out in the bush with camera /rifle/ dog and frosty nights by an effing hot fire with bullschitt banter are better than watching the telly.

We burned that lot every night. A monster Narrow leafed Peppermint tree had come down and the best wood was taken for the property leaving the "head" broken in pieces on the ground..best place for a camp supply.
One morning, back log gone, replaced with a sheet of iron from an old ruined hut. Note two cast antlers on wood.
Btw no rubbish left on site, nothing-zero, of course as usual and NO EFFING cans thrown in the fire like the yobs do.

My fawn was shot on the dry side,a change from the green side. You can see the bountiful supply of Red Box firewood.
