I was with Flux for my Hilux until two years ago when the premium shot up. Last year Direct line and the same happened. Tescos this year, 2010 3ltr Hilux £345:) But ive been told their only cheap for the first year so it looks like you have got to shop around each year:suss:

I think nowadays this is the way you have to go, loyalty counts for nothing new custom seems to be king, although I would have been a new customer for Mr Flux had he not outpriced himself there appears to be no logic in the way they quote.

We have had 15 vehicles and diggers / tractors with the CIS for years and now they are in with Aviva it has gone up to 9k a year the broker has just got us renewed witj LV for under 6k i think that was a bonus all FC with all the bells and whistles

dont have a 4x4 but many years ago i had a heavily modded pug 205 1.9 , Oh the memories:D and adrian flux was the only one under 4 figures however after a few years he wasnt that competitive so eventually went somewhere else ,
i have just renewed my trusty wheels this week , a skoda fabia vrs diesel and decided to shop around, i always just used go compare but the people in the know suggested they dont cover all the insurance makers so i tried individual ones, admiral, churchill etc and all more expensive than my current broker so it looked like it would be the same brokers as last year and no real increase in price, full no claims , driving for 20 years, all clean license and no accidents, 21.000 miles a year all for £500 , expensive i think but they were all coming in around the same.
Well i tried Swinton insurance and f~~k me what a suprise £290 for the same cover , yes please thats a prfect price in my opinion for a 9 yr old car thats used for getting to work only .
some brokers just take the **** to be honest and until last year i used to just accept it, but like everyone cash is tight and i now spend a bit longer finding all the options and its certainly paid off
