Alliant powders

just started playing with r15 up to 90 grains lapua for range work looking good so far got 3870 fsp so far ,more to do yet

95 gr Nosler BT's 36 grains Reloader 19 worked for me, but a word of warning work up your own loads just because a load is safe in someone else's rifle is no guarantee that it will be in yours.

You should be able to get a table try google start min and work up.

Here's some ideas. http://forum.accurateshooter.com/index.php?topic=982860.0 I've had some success with N160 recently. Regards JCS

Yes ive been using N160 aswel just now but thought about a change too see what i could come up with. Found N160 good in 95grn noslers and 44.5grnof it. Couldnt get it too work with 80grn soft pounts or 100grn soft points tho. So thats my thinking of a change of plan. Any other powders u canrecommend wud be great.

I've used Reloder 22 for 100 & 105 grain bullets with good success for years - I get less than 1 MOA at 100yds from my standard slow twist barrel Tikka M595 . Used 96% of Alliant's maximum recommended load & got no signs of high pressure.

As always work up your own loads for safety.

Has anyone got any experiance in using reloader 17 for a .243? Did the velocity match what alliant claims it can on their website?

tried it didn't get on with it,its more suited to the heavier calibers,a 243 is a peach to load for up to 75gr Vit 140 80 to 100gr Vit 160
looking at Paul O reply 3800 fps with RL15 and a 90gr bullet, that seem to be the kiddy, but Iam still waiting for verification on this magic load
