Greetings, gentle reader!
My name is Andy. I'm a young 58. I haven't shot a deer since I culled a switch on Braeroy in 1977 when I was working there as ponyman with the stalker Gordon Addison. I did three seasons on the ponies at Braeroy, took a 32 year sabbatical and then did a season last year (2013) as a ghillie in Sutherland where we used Argos as well as ponies. I'm registered for DSC2 with BASC. My rifle is a .308 Savage Axis fitted with a Weaver scope and a Hardy Gen IV mod. I have LANTRA certification for sit-in skid-steer ATVs and two totally useless degrees in music.
I live in south-east Essex. The only deer I ever see near to home are the occasional mangled muntjacs lying dead by the side of the A127. If anyone's got any good ideas where I can go deer spotting (not stalking, just watching) in Essex or south Suffolk I'd be very pleased to hear from them.
Best Wishes.
Andy
