Yep Smelly - really looking forward to playing with the Zulus mounted 6.5x55SE - when the world thaws….
Meanwhile a little malt eases the wait….

Out today in the thaw at our phezzies then afterwards playing with the 6.5x55SE which on an experimental basis is now wearing the Zulus V1.
In short - zeroed at 100 in two shots (had bore-sighted it at home and was an inch high at test shots; keen to test the ballistic calculator but after 4 hours walking the moss for said phezzies I wasn’t really up for testing it at 200 plus - all that additional walking ain’t good for we oul fellas. I need an apprentice methinks…
Anyhoo fired 9 x 130gns Sierra Gamechangers over a reasonably stout load of N160 without any issues whatsoever - of particular note is that recoil contact from the rubber eyepiece is barely noticeable - like a maiden’s kiss really (wotever a maiden was…). Looking good for full bc test when next my aged body is up to it.
Gotta be soon cos Scotland in three weeks but the lure of today’s warm fire and a malt is irresistible just now…
