Avoid Hunter Balmoral wellies

MS, i thought you wore the "George Michael" wellies? Only disadvantage is they get sucked off in the bogs.

No wonder Pridge is selling their pair of Hunter Balmoral wellies on here. They are ill fitting product. Although the correct size for me and a snug fit when on, they are just ridiculously too tight getting on and off at the ankle. Leather lined @ £200 and unused but they were bought over 30 days ago so no exchange from retailer and Hunters after care service should be renamed Noaftercare ! AVOID
Would you care to elaborate more on why everyone should AVOID this product because YOU said so?
A little tight doesn`t cut it .. you bought them and if you didn`t return them within 30 days (if that`s the stated return period) then surely that`s your fault.
Being able to slate a product on the SD is becoming far too easy and in some cases damaging. Once it`s on the www. then it`s too late.
One day someone will regret slating a product because you pushed the trader and their product too far.

How petty? Didn't see any of the other party leaders up in Deeside or anywhere else for that matter. I would imagine the £1,500 for tenants or the £3,000 for closed businesses may help. What did DC give the Ouse valley victims?

I dont think its a problem being objective and honest about how an individual finds a product. We all have an opinion on everything, apparently, but I dont see manufacturers/retailers wringing their hands over posts on SD, unless its directly a shooting product and the criticism is objective and the same one made by many.
It is through such honest criticism that we may change certain products/practices and that has to be in the interests of all. We just need to be what I suspect most of us are, honest, objective and reasonable ?
P.S. I have no comment on NS as I do not like her, her politics or her predecessor. Then again, I'm an Englishman who is also a keen Brit.

yes I thought this was a serious issue, actually I like my boots to get sucked off in the bogs.
at least you can get out , alternative is to be permanently stuck wearing lace up boots.

Well then I saw the joke.... I am a bit naïve....................... good one RED-DOT.

For everyday use in the brambles and sludge I use size 12 plastic Dunlops £6.50 with insoles and two pairs of socks.
always thought Hunters were made for posh folk with weird shaped feet.

If I got two years good service / regular wear out of my wellies, I would think I'd had good value, (they would need resoling by then anyhow!):D

Yes your right finnbear 270, however mine don't have to absorb the vicious kick of your .270.:D nice gentle 7-08.So my soles are in pretty good condition walking on mainly soft ground.....and water.

They're under-priced & under-rated if they allow you to walk on water......

Having a personal opinion about a product is fine, but actively encouraging everyone else to AVOID the product on an open forum site, based on their opinion as the OP did, is very likely to find him in court facing a 'Slander of Goods' charge! It is illegal and a very easy way for a company to make some money through damage compensation. I'm sure there are even law companies out there that search for such cases as an easy win.

I have a pair of Balmoral neoprene and have done me well for a couple of years now. Admittedly they are only used around the yard and walking the dog but never had any complaints. My dad also had a pair at the same time and they have been used for everything including concreting and are still going strong.

Further to my above post, site owners/moderators might find this interesting!
In law, Moderators can be held liable for any statement that appears to be defamatory because forum members are deemed to be 'authors' within the meaning under s.1(2) of the Defamation Act 1996. There is no question as to liability that an author will be liable for any defamatory statement. As for a Moderator, who has 'some element of control in publishing a defamatory statement' is likely to fall within the meaning of s.1(2) of the same Act and will therefore be held liable.
So basically, it would appear that any defamatory, or slanderous comments posted could in fact make the site owners/moderators just as guilty as the original poster!
