Looking to sell this very pleasant AYA sidelock.
2 3/4 inch chambers. Woodwork has recently been refinished and has a reasonable grain. Metalwork tidy and retains the majority of the colour hardening on the action and sidelocks.

Handles beautifully with the Churchill rib, just not getting used and could do with the cabinet space.

£800 ovno

Stockport area. Happy to supply additional photos if required.

It has 25" barrels with a Churchill style rib, which does give an impression of it having longer barrels when you bring it up to the shoulder. It's a fast handling gun but to me it handles a touch slower than a true 25" gun, if that makes sense.

Chokes from memory are stamped 1/4 and 1/2, but I'd need to double check. As ever, true choking of any gun will show up on the pattern plate with a given load.

It’s criminal what the proposed lead ban has done to SG prices!
And for no good reason, in most instances.
Ken.

It should still be able to shoot standard steel and chokes are good for steel. Only limitation is that it won’t be able to shoot high performance steel. It might also shoot the new Bioammo which is an amalgam of bismuth, zinc and tin with characteristics similar to lead also not prohibitively priced.

What proof marks does it have?

Unfortunately sxs isn’t as popular theses days.
People just prefer the o/u.
I have a nice sxs and to be honest I never use it but it’s not worth a penny unless I find an enthusiast willing to buy it.

I’m an enthusiast and I Sir, will double your valuation!

December bump. Appreciate the interest on the thread, but would prefer if folk didn't derail it with attempts to sell their own items...
