My point was (in answer to Steve O's statement that "what is your shooting organisation doing? I have not seen anything from other organisations, other than advertising their insurance policies!", was that they were part of the writers/suppliers of information of which the report is made up of.

There is nothing wrong with the 'value of shooting' report. it's a fine piece of collated information that is very proffessionaly presented and provides illuminating facts and figures regarding shooting and consevation and it's 'value' to the economy.
For the 24 partners (and many others) it is an excellet and informative resource which can be used to counter arguments put forward by the anti's.
I bet it cost a fortune, both in money and time to gather the information and then to verify and publish it.
BASC would have spent a considerable amount of time and effort, as have the other 23 'partner contributors'.
It's not a race, my orgsanisation did more than yours did ...

The next challenge is to get the report out there and into the hearts and minds of the communities which are misinformed, or perhaps misled, by the likes of C Packham (and others).
I still believe that purchasing 9 full page adverts in the Metro was a 'momentus waste of money' (and No I don't have a better idea).

Good to see an effort to put shootings head above the parapet.
Got to be visible to the general public in a positive manner or misconceptions spread from the tabloids etc will be the only concept that the public will have.
