Bench bag fillings ???

Just brought a set of front and rear bench bags, what's the best thing to fill them with I've been told to use dry play pit sand, others say cat litter. Whats best

iv never had any problems ,and rice is not heavier than sand for the same cc . have you see a 10kg bag of rice the equivalent in sand is around 25kg

Sand, yes, this is what I have used in the past. Until I got fed up with lugging those heavy bags around. Even though my bags were tight I have seen many leaking, and this is a complete mess with sand.
Poly pellets are light, don‘t soak up moisture and are as stable as can be.

Why use the heavy stuff? Get a flat and stable bottom on the rear bag and you could stuff it with cotton wads.

I have filled one with tumbler media. Lighter than sand and very stable but far better than light polystyrene pellets that some bags get filled with

Brilliant stuff. Doesn't matter if it gets wet. Doesn't go off, heavy and forms well.
