Benelli vs franchi

Hi been to my local dealer to look at the benelli M2 and the franchi affinity

the franchi is a lot less money than the benelli, but the chap said they are literally the same gun, same factory, same parts etc etc

it’s just the benelli feels a lot different to me, feels like it swings better maybe it’s just the forend etc

I would be interested in your opinions on it!!

I’ve got the Franchi. It’s very much the Skoda versus Audi scenario. A Superb is a A6 with a slightly cheaper feel. The Audi will feel like a more special place, but the Skoda will do it all at a keener price.

There’s a couple of differences between the Benelli and the Franchi, chief among them being location of the spring, but they are otherwise very similar.

i shoot the benelli supersport @ sporting clays unbelievable reliable and a sinch to clean best auto i've owned

I’ve had a Benelli M2 for longer than I care to remember. Never had so much as a hiccup. Cracking workhorse of a gun.

Lot of my old friends are wildfowlers. Their semi autos get some stick. Most of them have had a Benelli at some point but they have never lasted for one reason or another.
I have had a franchi affinity for 4-5 years now, and while it doesn't get the abuse (more of a rifle shooter but do need a semi auto for some shooting) it has been very reliable with a range of cartridges & weights.
To be fair, I connect far more with the franchi, than my O/U.

Get yourself a berretta
I've used a bennell once and it was a right finger trapping f$#@€r was so hard to unload unlike my al391

I have a Bennelli Montefeltro Comfort Sport in FAC flavour. Itss wings and points where i want it and i find it very comfortable to use, even with heavy loads when foxing. I liked the look of the Franchi but the feel of the Benelli swayed it for me.
