Best 204 ruger - blaser??

Hey all, got a work colleague that is on the search for the best quality 204 ruger out there. We recently watched the shooting shows latest YouTube upload with a guy using a blaser ultimate silence 308 cal. I have rang blaser today to enquire whether they did a 204 ruger cal in this particular model. Answer was 'no'. Very frustrating as this gun ticked all the boxes in terms of balance, adjustability with stock and the thumbhole setup. To top it off no unsightly mod hanging off the end but a neat over barrel sleeve. Does anyone know any other blaser models that is close to the ultimate silence and if it is available in 204??? Guy I spoke to today just said there was many stock available.....thanks in advance

In my experience it’s not the tool but the tool with the tool.
It doesn’t matter how good it is if you have crap trigger control you won’t shoot straight. I have a CZ 527 in 204R and it shoots sub 1” at 300yards when I do my bit.
It’s very basic and therefore easy to alter the trigger and smooth the bolt.
IMHO save your money and buy a 204R from a cheaper company.

My CZ .204 is a brilliant tool, and easily out shoots my skills!

Very little point having an ultimate silence with its short barrel anyway, the 204 is a speed calibre and needs barrel length to drive that

Rifle Shooter published comparative velocities from one in 308 versus a 22” Sauer 101 barrel, same time, same day, same batches of various Ammo types and it was significant speed loss from the Silence. Fine in 308 with plenty of energy for close in stalking but Blaser are smart not to make it in unsuitable cartridges

I went the custom route, as .204 wasn't available when I fancied a twenty calibre R8.
Mr Groom (GB Barrels) took a used .243 and did what many a gunsmith at the time said was impossible, installing a custom tube in 20 TAC whilst retaining the R8 breech.
I could be persuaded to part with it - if of interest - as it turned out far too heavy (9lb for the rifle alone) even with a fluted barrel.

I suggest you buy a savage and get it into a KKC stock. Upgrade trigger and they you go problem sorted and it will be far more accurate than you will ever be.
