Best grouping at 300M

Took 6 months for it to arrive and the the 25cal is only available with SG lands so i was unsure as to what they were. Had heard good things about Truflite though so went for one.The Lothar it will be replacing has been a dog and will not be having another.
The lands on the Trueflite certainly look different when viewed with the Borescope.
Yorkie.

What?

7mag is overbore. Might be an idea to do your research before posting nonsense. Also where in my post did I make any reference to 7mag?
you did not refere to the 7mm rem mag you stated that 308 was a better cartrige full stop it is not the best cartrige for target shooting nor is it the best hunting round at distance the 7mm beats the 308 may be good for woodland work but most game in usa at distance is shot with 7mm rem mags and 300win mag to hit things at distance they have to be acurate thats all i was pointing out

Lovely rifle though an RPA Interceptor undoubtedly is, is it really a stalking rifle at 11lb for the bare rifle? And is 6mmBR a stalking calibre? Neither aspect meets my definition.

To some people perhaps the Interceptor is not their perfect stalking rifle but i am 6'4" and 18 stone so not a little fella thats going to moan about carrying it. As for it not being a decent stalking calibre, yes its not the largest calibre out there but its probably the most accurate calibre there is apart from a PPC and after all its all about bullet placement is it not? The BR will produce velocities of the 243 due to the efficient case design with far less powder and recoil (even though the 243 has very little recoil) A friend of mine had one and was achieving 4100fps with a 55gr combined technology bullet head (yes very hot loads that were hard on cases but still amazingly accurate and a serous fox round). I have shot dozens of Reds with a BR it will do the job very well with the correct bullet. After all said and done its horses for courses, i would not want to shoot deer at long range with a BR but it will shoot them perfectly well out to 300 yards in the right conditions, like i said its bullet placement and thats far easier with the most accurate round, a 50BMG wont do the job if its taking jaw bones and haunches off!

Attached is a photo of drop test that I did with 308. I zeroed the rifle at 100m and took shots at 150, 200, 250 and 300 meters. I was delighted with the groups, save for the second shot at 250m which I can only assume was a flyer. What was interesting from the test, was that the results beared no relation to the ballistic data on the cartridge packaging. The rifle is a Blaser R93 with a Zeiss 3-12x56 Victory scope and the ammunition is Blaser`s own brand CDP 165 gr. Interestingly though, the drops in my test are pretty much what Isnipe and Ballistic FTE had calculated. The upshot is that I am confident using my rifle out to 300m. I am now using a 300WM and will do the same test in better conditions next month.

I tested some hunting ammo a couple of weeks ago at 100yds for the first time, first group was crap but other 4 lots were very good, ragged hole with 3 shots and I let one go on each which spoiled it for me,best 3 shot ragged hole was 0.260,I've loaded them ready to take my remy custom out for its first doe,I've got to zero first and do a drop chart rather than trust a ballistic calculator.

I've got 2 bal calfs on my phone, lapua one is really good but it's set up for there bullets, last time at 1000yds I dialled in 30.5 moa elevation and it was cock on,checked the bal calc and it was 30.52 moa,how close is that,I've got the strelock bal calc aswell which is similar, still prefer to dub check with my own drop chart

Wrong again. Try reading my post wraith and then look up the definition of efficient in the dictionary.
