Best IR torch for the new Hikmicro Alpex 4K

Hi all
Has anyone got any info on the hikmicro ir ? I presume it is a good illuminator.
For the 4k lrf . Anyone using 1 ?
Thoughts please

I was just looking at those as I am in the market for an LED IR Torch to see if it realises a better image on my 4k scope than the Laser IR torch I use.

Ian @Blackwood Outdoors has some 50mm IR LED Torches which look like they have a bigger lens and therefore I am guessing can tighten the beam more which means more throw and better range. Ian, out of interest, how noisy is the on/off button on the rear. I am used to the silent soft touch of the Solaris. Is the 50mm LED IR torch on your website ok to operate noise wise?

Cheers.

It has a slight click. What distance do you require and for what use?

DNT Zulus 4k. Absolute max distance 250yds but more likely to be 75-175yds most of the time. I tired the Solarix SRX on the DNT 4k but it is pretty poor in comparison to a Vulpine/March/Solaris combo.

I didn't get the Zulus 4k for night work as such but it would be nice to have the option if I can find a suitable IR torch which will produce a less grainy image.

Cheers

I have just purchased one and it will be getting used this Friday evening so will be able to let you know then. I am in no way an expert on IR but for the distances I am planning on shooting I would expect it to be perfectly adequate. To be fair The Hik Alpex 4K LRF will probably be suitable on its own.

If you want a "clean" image free from artifact and graininess with reach out to 250m then you can't go wrong with the LL Wraith ESL. It works superbly well on the Hik Alpex 4k so can only imagine it will be the same on the Zulus. I've tried all VCSEL torches and it is by far the cleanest and compact into the bargain.
