The fa is an auto, good bike.
Id personally say Honda make one of the best ATV's they seem to last the test of time. Don't know quite how much time your going to spend on it and use, but id go for a manual one for simplicity less to go wrong, the only problem I had with my last one was with electric shift. Gone for a UTV now but to be fare may swap back to a quad as its easier to move around.
This is like asking what rifle should I buy in .243 you'll get fans of different makes, different models, try and find a demo day for them.

I normally use a 2013 fm model, with a mono shock. This is probably the worst bike i have used. I am using an fa pre 2013 at the moment and it is far better, more stable, more comfort, safer and goes through ground where the fm gets stuck. The one thing you need to figure out is repair costs and reliablity of each for yourself. What do you think of the FM6

What’s the common things to go wrong with the quads?
I think you would be best asking dealers/repairers that question. SorryWhat’s the common things to go wrong with the quads?
Yup. There's nothing more fun than crawling out from underneath an upturned quad, after dark, on a lonely and snowy Scottish hillside, petrol dripping onto your leg, as you consider whether perhaps you should have waited until the morning to recover that pair of hinds you shot at last light...Typically the judgement of the bit between the seat and the handlebars
