Bestard Boots

Once again there are a number of models of Bestard boots on offer through SportPursuit:
These are generally about 45% off.
Can anyone comment on the fit of these boots? Narrow or wide, true to size or running a bit small? I have read good reviews for these boots but would like to get some first hand advice regarding their sizing.
Thanks 🙏

I find them quite wide in the toe box compared to meindl. Build quality seems OK though.
Thanks for the reply. A bit wider in the toe box in comparison with Meindl is just what I am after. Now, if I take a size 11 in Meindl, would I take the same in a Bestard?

No mate, I'm a 8.5 meindl that feels nice. I have a 8 in Bestard and in truth compared to the Meidnl they feel a "bit slack".

Thanks for all of the replies. I bought a pair of Breithorn (sp?) boots, £265 down to £145. I take a size eleven in a Meindl and found that an eleven in the Bestards was fine, although ever so slightly roomier. The toe box is, as mentioned above, roomier and I like that; gives me the space to fit in a bunion!
I have not had them too long but I have put in a few miles in them. So far so good, I have found them comfortable. I stomped through a few deep puddles today, turning them into dirty Bestards, and they remained water tight. Hopefully they will remain that way. These are three to four season boots, so a bit stiffer than some stalking boots but I plan to use them in the hills and they will suit my requirements nicely.

Final post from me on these boots (unless they start to leak or fall to pieces). I've now done a few stalks and a fair bit of other walking with these boots, including a day clambering around clear-fell and falling into ditches, and a day on wet ground for hinds. I've found the boots very comfortable and also completely waterproof. They are still available on SportPursuit.com for £275 down to £149.99.

@Feugh how did these last?

I wear my boots most days, for dog walking, hill walking and, believe it or not, deer stalking. Each pair is lasting 15-18 months before the sole wears down. It’s the sole that wears first; the leather is still fine. Never had a leak with them. If you were prepared to spend the 70 odd quid to get a good resole on them they would possibly go another 18 months.

Has anyone out there had their boots resoled, and who did it?
