Hi I am after recommendations of a decent bino harness for stalking I have had a couple of cheap ones off ebay which don’t last so looking for the best out there for the money the Binos I use are Leica geovid range finders

I use a vortex one. The reason I chose it was because the straps are elasticated which makes it very comfortable. It also means that you can adjust it so that the elastic pulls against you slightly when the binoculars are at your eyes which makes them considerably more steady. On top of this it is incredibly easy to get on and off again due to the stretch.

£20 from Uttings.

Whilst it is far from cheap the BADLANDS case is excellent, broad straps for comfort, drop down magnetic cover, takes my swaro 10 x 42's, has a lower compartment, again with magnetic closure, in which goes the leica rangefinder, 2 additional small side pockets for keys, ammo etc., and in addition a rear slip pocket for the 'phone. Did I forget to mention the fold away rain cover. This is a truly amazing bit of kit and worth every penny.

Plus one for the Vortex. Their Glasspak is also worth a look; I have one and I love everything about it except the colour!

A full body harness is useful if you need to lie, crawl etc regularly and wish to protect your bins. I really like my FHF gear. However zeiss, vortex harness are great to spread weight to your shoulders if you’re woodland stalking or generally using sticks

I also have geovids, avoid the all elastic ones as they just don't cope with the weight very well, Athalon do a good enclosed one but the magnet is weak and you'll need to add a secure fastener, S4 if you can find them are very good and the standard size will fit geo's (just) but you'll have to put an extra crimp in the top with pliers

I got a harness & neoprene bino jacket from Monarch a couple of weeks ago. Used it a few times now and it’s a top combo so far.

Thanks lads some there to look at defo getting some that go in a pouch type holder .The elastic ones are no good when crawling I’ve lost loads of caps had them full of snow & like u said greenmist the geovids are not light

Have a look at the harkila one.
Holds them tight to your chest without a pouch for twigs to collect in.
