Birthday present

I decided to buy myself a 40th birthday present for myself back in February. Well the licence arrived a few weeks ago and I got out to the local range to break her in and get all set for August.
The present being a Tikka Roughtech in .308.
It really liked the Sako gamehead 123g. Not bad especially the top group in the pic(if I must say so myself 😆). The adjustable trigger is still set to factory setting so I could imagine with it lighter, would bring them in more. She shot Whitetail 150s and federal fusion 150s sub MOA too. Very happy with the set up now, roll on August for a bit of stalking.
PS: I bought the fiocchi 150s soft point to just zero it in, decided to do a 5 round group, it ended up at about 7 MOA.

Sako 123 rounds are brilliant on fallow all I use

I did find them a bit robust to say the least on a couple of H&L shots that hit a leg or thick rib, for high neck they are pretty good

Nice rifle.
You can get lighter springs for the trigger, I got one for my T3x and it made a big difference. They don’t do many upgrade triggers for tikkas that I could find but if they are available I’m sure someone on here will know.
