Blaser BBF95/97, good guns?

What a week! After a message from a very thoughtful and helpful member on here I've now found a BBF97 grade 3 in .308 12/76 - the same week as I agreed to buy another member's Sako from him which had maxed out my shooting budget completely. You couldn't make it up...

My other half was thoroughly familiar with the situation, she's been here more than enough times to know that I do this to myself now and again. Hearing my previous mutterings about not being able to find one of these things for love nor money she understood the predicament I found myself in. What is a first is that she's now (to shut me up I think) the proud owner of a Blaser BBF. I however am in debt to perhaps the worst credit provider ever known - the wife!

Bring on 2021 - a year of washing up, hoovering and overtime at work. I hope it's worth it.

I have looked at the basic grade BBF 95 in 12b / 7x57R. In 2017 they cost just north of Nkr 25 000. I looked again recently and a dealer gave me a special offer of Nkr 47 000. Strangely I wont be buying one. Even a K95 was cheaper at NKr 39 000. Lovely firearms I just can't justify spending that much money.

Sorry for putting you in debt with the Mrs, plenty of foot massages etc. It will be worth it, what scope are you mounting on it?

Currently trying to get hold of some Rottweil exact green slugs for mine

I haven't decided on a scope yet. My old Brno combi had a Simmons 1.5-5x20 on it and did everything I asked of it. I might try to up the magnification a little without getting silly. It'll most likely be a Schmidt because my eyes get on well with their optics.

As for getting me in debt with the wife, I'm most grateful for that. Thanks!

Make sure your after market side plates are ultra thin or they will stick out proud by a mm an annoy you when you glue them on.

Well its not that much honestly but I do have a couple videos featuring blasers being used for hunting. Next year i might make a few more with the BBF97 since I upgraded my cameras.
