Blaser R8 accuracy vs semi custom rifles, which one wins??

I don’t see any problems here, just a different approach.
Some like that approach and some don’t.
I have two turn bolt rifles and a Blaser straight pull in the cabinet. Can you guess the one that comes out most often?
the one you like the most?

as i have mentined a few times , the blaser is a good rifle (people seem to read something else though?)

i am just not sold on it's supposed advantages , so i don't have one - simple !

Quite right as I do see and take advantage of its design features.

ease of changing scopes and barrels , just have two rifles if you need two calibres and scopes are easily changed
Just to add, there's nothing magic about Blaser mount (other than owners' beliefs). And you can buy another rifle, even inflated price Tikka T3(x) (they're under $600 in US) for the price of additional Blaser barrel.

going off at a slight tangent. Do any of the devoted have issues with the often slow twist rates and copper rounds. In particular the out of spec. 6.5 CM at 8.66 rather than 8:1
My R8 is very accurate with copper up to 115gr and from 120 up deteriorates.

It’s neither fish nor foul, just another rifle design. Take your pick as to what you like and enjoy it, they all work well and shoot well enough to shoot deer to sensible ranges, what matters is the rifle gives you joy and is reliable to ethically take game at the ranges you shoot, the rest is irrelevant

You’re not wrong - ACSRx-PRS edition – Akila - €4300 with a folding stock!!

Do you have any proof of this whatsoever? I’d really like to see that if possible!
Yeah it happened at a range day maybe 20 years back now ? bolt out the back of the gun ! An over load of course but seen plenty of bolt guns that had to have a decent mallet taken to the bolt to open the action without injury after overload. No our mobile phones where more basic then and nobody was into storing pictures as much or at all as we do now .

So the shooter actually lost a limb? An arm?

Wow, I’m very surprised that didn’t hit the news… It happens when people lose limbs to dog attacks and any similar firearms incidents are usually even more newsworthy…
It was abroad and many years ago, I've seen images of people with scared face and bandaged hands with either missing or shortened fingers, never seen a missing arm. Probably by the time this finishes they will have lost their head but were able to carry on shooting because their other rifle wasn't a Blaser.

You'll have to tell us what the two rifles are, if we're to try and guess which one you take out most often.....😆

From what I can make out it seems the R93 was the problem in the past and the newer rifles are modified and safer ?

Still don’t want one though

Well if you want to know, one is an older Tikka and the other a Steyr Mannlicher Pro Hunter. Both good rifles and the Steyr has accounted for many deer over the last 15 years. I have had Sako and BSA as well over the last 30 years. The Blaser design works for me and thats what counts.
