Boot care and why I can't be arsed...

Never used to bother to be honest but now clean them off after, remove laces and allow them to dry, then treat them with laksen‘s boot dubbin, but also do the same with all mine and the wifes stuff cartridge bags gun slip and the truck.
it’s just easier once you get a routine to keep on top of things

my boot care regimen looks like yours!
occasionally clean and re dubbin, wear till knackered then replace.just got 2 pairs of zamblan boots unused fro the charity shop for a tenner 👍.
my pair of dubarry boots were looked after and the soles fell off after a year so what's the point!IMG_20230211_163727.webp

Just like at the golf club, I use an air line. Golf club has one at the clubhouse to fully clean debris from cleats, outsole and upper.

I have a little unit at home which removes all debris from boots in quick time. Then run a cloth over them.

If its properly muddy, I use wellies. Wellies are a PITA in the warm months and boots are a PITA in wet months. I prefer boots in terms of comfort and support but wellies these days are very very good. Better than the dogsh*t you used to get 30yrs ago.

I’ve tried all methods and tbh gone back to abusing them I’ve a pair of lowa that I’ve given an odd waxing to along the way but mainly just worn and left in porch to dry out.Back on with old dry muck on and used. They’re re on there third year worn every weekend without fail sometimes Friday night ,sat day and sun and still good. The meindle would of split by now I found the more I oiled the softer they got the more they split/tore.
