Hi, I’ve been shooting for some time now, I’m in my early 50’s and have shot since I can remember.
My father was a keen shooter, wildfowling and stalking on land in Scotland just north of Perth.
I am based in Yorkshire.
I’ve currently got a few rimfires, .22LR and .17HMR.
A tikka Tac A1 in .223 and a Sako TRG in .308.
I’ve recently joined a club local to me and hope to hone my skills as well as participate in the club and enter a few comps.
I’ve got some land myself which keeps me fairly active, pigeon, crows, Deer and Fox, and land in Scotland on an Estate as well as East sussex, and the Cotswolds. I haven’t yet sat a Deer Stalking course but intend to do that soon.
I’m Ex Forces, “Army” so I am used to firearms having served for a number years. In terms of marksmanship principals I can fire a rifle accurately however my knowledge is fairly limited when it comes to using scopes, setting zero stops and utilising all the kit and equipment available that is of good quality and readily accessible and not made by the lowest bidder.
Hopefully see some of you out and about.
