Wanted: British Airways Bad enough now even worse.

Some forums said you needed a transfer permit for Germany but I didn't get one and it was fine
I was told not to bother with a form 6A when travelling to the US with a firearm, I ignored that advice and always applied for one, first 3 visits never asked, 4th visit I was checked on arrival, I guess I would of had my Blaser confiscated without it!

You mean with a transit in the US?

The German transit form referenced was a specific German police form I think

Avoid Heathrow .
Fly from another airport with direct flights or fly to a German airport and transfer.
Germany permits firearms in transit

BA - Bloody Awful - that’s what the Captain called his airline and we we delayed 5 hours sitting in the aeroplane whilst 1) BA fought for a slot to takeoff from Heathrow and then since we ariived after midnight into Edinburgh, 2) another 2 1/2 wait whilst the worked out that there 100 people on an aeroplane that actually wanted to get off.

The Captain was so ****ed off at his employer that he gave out the Chief executive’s email address and asked us all to email him whilst we sat and waited.
