I would like some advice from those in the know:
I would like to put a barrel from a Brno 602 onto my CZ550- specifically a Brno 458 barrel onto my spare left handed CZ 550 in 375.
I have read that the threads are the same, and the sights are the same including the position of the integral barrel mounted recoil lug. There is just a question of whether the Brno and CZ have a different shaped lugs - I know my CZ has a flat metal recoil block mounted into the stock.
Has anyone tried something similar? I know the donor barrel would need a new extractor cut for my LH action, but that shouldn’t be an issue. My first choice would be to find a donor CZ barrel, however the Brno’s seem to be more common.
My aim is to have a matching pair of rifles in 375 and 458 Lott.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
