Burglary and police removing my guns

If your burglar alarm phones the police, have a second line for that. The urchins could phone your landline and keep it busy.
A neighbour got burgled and they were caught, but the next time they smashed the alarm box off the wall before it could dial out.

Why and by what logic is it reasonable to force him to remove his firearms from his own storage with its proven to be effective security measures and place them elsewhere under threat of revocation of his certificates for failure to comply?
There is none. But that's the cards we've been dealt so we just need to play them as best we can. I think in this case it's a matter of choosing which battle to fight

possibly saw the gun cabinet on the first break in now back tooled up to break into the safe and get the guns. **** situation to be in but possibly as a precaution they want the guns out the way for a while? what's the alternative? these clowns get into the house while you are there and they tie you n your wife up OR WORSE until you hand over keys then they have your guns. it's a tough one mate, stay safe 🤞👍

MAJOR UPDATE:

On Tuesday night at just past midnight three masked men attempted to break in through the front door again. I was awake, I locked my wife in the bathroom with the dog and took up a position at the top of the stairs. The burglars were spooked and made off. They did not gain access to the house. My wife was on hold to 999 for 10 minutes before we got through to the Police! By the time the police had arrived, they were long gone, approximately 17 minutes after we started calling.

They seem to have a WiFi signal jammer that interferes with my connection to the ring doorbell and cctv cameras from ring. The ring footage cuts out after 10 seconds of them trying the door.

Annoying the police were more interested in taking my guns off me than finding the criminals responsible. Three hours and about 10 officers later, the firearms unit came to make my guns safe and take them to the police station. I have been told that I have to surrender the guns and my license for 6 months until they review it. If k challenge it legally they will move to revoke my license.

I now have had two attempted breakins this week with my pregnant wife to protect. And the priority for the police has been removing my firearms

I have been told that I will never be allowed the guns back inside my property. I will have to store them at an RFD, I ever get them back

I'm sorry you're having to go through this! Seems to me that this is exactly the type of situation that would justify using your firearms for self defence. I have American friends in Georgia and Colorado who are absolutely dumbfounded that our police take this view. All have told me that these burglars would no longer be a problem if they'd been caught trying to repeatedly break into properties there, and that they would've had the full support of the police.

This country's treatment of victims is contemptible

It’s supposedly one of the nicest areas in London. There isn’t much crime in the area, it seems it is just being targeted at us unfortunately
They clearly know that you have something that they want.
I would delete the post tho asap and maybe have a panic alarm installed that is remote triggered.
If your car has one of those daft microwave keys then (and I know this sounds daft) park it further from the house to stop them using a signal booster to jack the car.
Crap situation for you both.

Exactly why I said what i did a few pages ago.

Delete the thread. Full of irresponsible advice and rhetoric.
A cover up is worse.

The community should report people to the police who indicate intents that make them unsafe to hold firearms.

In my view, if the FEO decides that the OP should lose his shotguns until his attitudes change and he has a safe place to store firearms, then that is him doing his job.

Yeah.. but leaving this thread open just allows further people to come and give poor advice/spout rhetorical unbefitting of a firearms license holder.

We may not agree with the laws. We may not agree with how the law is applied. But we sign a bit of paper saying we will abide by them and are entrusted to do so.

Agree, the thread needs to be closed.

On hold for 10 minutes with 999 is an absolute travesty.

My wife had the same a while back when I stopped breathing. Luckily I started again but she called 999 3 times, continually getting no answer and got through on the next call.

That's a number that, in my mind, should never ring more than twice before being picked up.

All the firearms business aside, that needs addressing.

Sorry to hear your recurring problems. Best not to get the guns out of the cabinet, if you have even Insinuated this to the police or that you feel the need to defend yourself- they will remove your guns without hesitation.

Get rid of your Range Rover, that is probably all they are after. Buy a Dacia duster instead to ward off the magpies.

The police are aware that I had the gun out during the encounter and they know the steps that I took with it. Yeah I will be trading in the Chelsea tractor asap!
