Butler Creek cover broken

I have given up on BC covers as they break off so easily. Tried an accucover which was fine untill I cut off .5"of the rubber so that the eye brow saver on my swaro could work and then lost the whole thing when it fell off walking back to the car. Why I bothered I dont know ( bored in the high seat probably) because I have yet to get hit by the recoil. Accuver seemed tougher but I didnt think much of the flouro triangles as they depended on the focus ring staying whwere you left it. When they rotated you were left thinkining am I canted over or what not much help in a quick shot situation. If I get another I will cut them off and just use as a rain cover

Accucover.. answering a question that hasn't been asked yet... Hi viz triangles on the occular and not available on the objective end.. WHY?

Glad I'm not the only one thinking that - I can do without an eyepiece cover but it is really, really useful to keep the rain off my objective until I'm ready for the shot and the accucover people make a cover for, errr, the eyepiece.

 Is it because you carry the rifle muzzle down (european style).

Just an open minded thaught.

Rgds, Buck.

You dont make covers for the Objective end though!

Mentioned this to them when i was at their stand at the Newark Show, They reckon a year or so before an objective one is on the market. I was impressed with the sturdiness of the product though and i'll buy one, just batting from the wrong end at the moment

£20 for an Accucover to protect the end that doesn't usually break as in the BC covers... Sorry but they are no use for a slung rifle.

I wouldn't be mad about the little yellow marks....
but hat off to starting the production of something that is really needed.
I can only guess the costs of the moulds to get the main sizes of front and rear scope
caps sorted.
Hope the price will drop a bit too. I for one will not pay 20 £... rather make my own.
