Just wondering if any members have had any success in the rut using one of the above.

I haven't had success using mine so find it better to just keep quiet and possibly bark if challenged.. Can send it to you to try if you haven't bought one already.
Yes had one for several years and most of the time it works very well bringing does and bucks sometimes at a run. But there is always the odd occasion when you can see a buck feeding and it just completely ignores the call

only thing i,ve called with mine was a fox,since made my own roe call,if i,m still kicking hoping to try it again this season 
I have had muntjac come running from a 100yds away before. I don’t know if it is just coincidence but I have had fallow does come in when squeaking.

Was once sat in a rural carpark in Hampshire having our lunch on the way to an outing. The windows were down and we were eating our sandwiches and drinking flasks of coffee.
My pal had one and said "I wonder if this thing works?"
He pressed a couple of times and a Roe Buck ran straight in from the wood, across the road and into the carpark then stood next to our vehicle staring at the two bewildered idiots inside...

Never tried them for roe (none in my area that I've ever seen), but they're mustard for calling in munties once you get the knack.
