Cactus Buck!

Hi,
A few of us were discussing a deer that hadn’t shed its antlers and one guy said it’s called a Cactus Buck.
I’d never heard them called that before so had to google.
Is it perhaps an American term?
Ken.

My farmed red spikers used to be similar but not that excessive, but I bred them to be multipointed, and was definitely not a condition. But they cleaned as normal at the normal time of year...

Lots of American terms are seeping into the British lexicon. “Beaver moon” etc.
I've noticed lately that a big deal is being made of every full moon. All complete with a name, usually of Native American origins, and a back story. Just five years ago no one gave a flip. Do you fellas not have names for the different monthly full moons?

I'm guessing that you don't have much for cactus over there. They are sometimes also called a stag buck. Many are found to have testicles that never descended.

Cactus buck Is the Americanised term of our peruque heads, however I think both terms are a good thing because lets be real is it fair too refer too both animals as below as the same thing? Same condition yes but antler expression is wildly different, one Is a true "wig" and one well resembles a cactus!
