CBD gummies

After a day felling, blocking, loading and unloading oak, my body is once again telling me that I should have studied more at school and got a career that allowed me an easier lifestyle. The old arthritis is getting beyond glucosamine, chrondroitin and fish oils. Even the evening dram is failing 😳
So, I’ve been reading up on CBD oil, or ‘gummies’ as they seem to be marketed. They are a wonder drug going by the reviews. Able to pick the winning lottery numbers by some, but also seem to be effective for osteoarthritis. So, does anyone have any real world (non THC) experience of CBD gummies ?

They're in common use here , along with THC gummies , legal in Canada . I know a number of people who use CBD gummies for the same reasons you describe . I don't have any personal experience with CBD oil , but the people I know that use it , for the most part , have had positive results . My hunting partner has suffered with arthritis for a number of years , he's been using CBD for about 4 years now and it has had a positive effect . He used to have problems just getting in and out of my truck , let alone walking more than a few hundred yards while hunting . He can now get around pain free and can keep up with me without any problems . Obviously , everyone's body is different as is the severity of their medical condition , but it does work really well for some people . Give it a try , it might make a difference . I'd try CBD before I resorted to taking pain meds .

I've a friend with fibromyalgia. He's been suffering for years, trying antidepressants, painkillers like Tramadol and Gabapentin, etc. He started on CBD isolate about 6 months ago, and it's made the world of difference to him

Complete waste of time for pain management if it’s of a serious nature unless you buy into the placebo. Touted as a miracle cure but in fact useless imho. Iv tried the lot oils, balms, gummies etc and they are pointless better off with low level painkillers and a hot bath. Now I do think they are useful aid to sleep which in turn can obviously help with pain after a good night but for me they really are snake oil.

Now if we had the good stuff like in the states and other countries that’s an entirely different animal.

a hot bath

I have been plagued with head pain ever since surviving a stroke post catastophic trauma to my left vertebral artery. [12 years ago]

Pain killers have their place. But scalding hot showers deliver similar relief. What I find odd is that shower-induced relief can be relatively long lasting. No idea how that works.

Have you also tried ice baths? I have at times crippling pain in my shoulders from scar tissue and arthritis not good at my age but hey that’s sport for you. For my money an ice blast followed by a warm shower or bath stimulates the cns in a very refreshing way.

A fair point . The above mentioned friend also uses THC gummies for the reasons you covered . Lack of sleep from chronic pain is very debilitating , low dose THC can help a lot in that respect . A friend of my wife was prescribed the same when she was under going chemo therapy for cancer as an appetite stimulant . It's also a common therapy for Glaucoma . I think that the legal status of Marijuana in Canada , and it's use medicinally , is a large factor in it's popularity versus the UK . As I pointed out , I have no personal experience with CBD oil , I can only offer anecdotal observation .
